Ms. Pullen, the Midway Administrative Team, the LSU-S professors, and the Student Council meet once a month on Midway’s campus to discuss items of interest to both schools in the partnership.  As a result of these meetings, many mutually beneficial measures have been taken, such as planning presentations for the National PDS conference, scheduling education methods courses on Midway’s campus, and matching Midway student needs with pre-service teacher training activities.

   “I have been involved with Midway since its inception as a PDS.  I was
the first "professor in residence" at Midway.  I am a continuing member
of the PDS Advisory Council and I'm responsible for LSUS students who
work at Midway for ED 416, Mathematics Practicum and ED 411, Observation and Participation.  
   “The partnership between Midway and LSUS has provided valuable
experiences for the college students, the elementary students and both
faculties.”

Dr. Ray is currently the Education Department Chair and Associate
Professor of Education.  She teaches graduate courses in Educational Leadership. Dr. Ray's prior professional experience includes teaching English at the middle and high school levels, serving as an assistant principal, and later as a high school principal.
